I am excited to kick off 2014 with the debut of my blog. I’ll be using this site to keep you up-to-date on my listings, the goings on in Geist and around Hamilton County, home staging advice, the 2014 housing market trends and more.
Let me first tell you a little about me. I’m a veteran Keller Williams Realty real estate agent. I live in and primarily serve real estate clients in Geist. I know the area well. I know the homes that are on the market, those that just sold and those that may be hitting the market. I love working in the area I call home. My expertise also extends to Meridian-Kessler, Carmel, Zionsville and other parts of Hamilton County.
My focus in helping each of my clients is simple. I listen to you. Whether you’re in the market to buy or sell a home, my goal is to think outside the box to really listen to what your needs are. It’s not just square footage needed or a fence to keep your dog safe, but the type of home that suits you and your family and your needs.
My philosophy is simple: “When you’re listening more and talking less, then you’re really getting into the heart of what your clients are trying to say.”
I also find creative solutions to my clients’ needs. An example I’ll share with you…I had two clients very interested in Geist waterfront property but couldn’t find a home currently on the market that they felt was “the one.” So, to stay on pursuit of their dream home, we drove through the area and my buyers noted their favorite homes, one by one.
We ended up dropping a note in the mailbox of those select homes and, as it turns out, one of the homeowners had been looking to downsize for quite a while and the note prompted his desire to make it time to do so. The sale ended with both delighted new homeowners and a satisfied seller who expressed his happiness with my work ethic. I enjoy using creative solutions to achieve the dreams of my clients. I have several examples just like this one where we were able to take innovative approaches to allow home ownership dreams of the right homes.
I also plug into great partnerships to make each transaction a success. I have wonderful relationships with lending institutions and title companies which really make transactions run smoothly. I also rely upon the incredible technologies we have at our fingertips in today’s home buying and selling market. The Internet is a key selling tool in real estate. I use a professional photographer to capture the images of homes for my sellers because I know that buyers first go to the web to search for homes. I want that first impression to be the best. If the home looks like it was photographed with an old mobile phone or inexpensive camera, potential buyers will pass it by.
