Many fun events are being created to celebrate Indiana’s 200th birthday.
If you like beer and want to learn some fun history facts of our state, you should check out the Bicentennial Brew Tour.
The tour includes a mini bus, the BrewsLine, which takes passengers to five breweries around Hamilton County to sample brews. The tours take place on Sunday afternoons now through May 22nd.
Breweries along the tour include:
Stop 1. Deer Creek Brewery in Noblesville: A new brewery in town, sister brewery of long-time Barley Island Brewery.
Stop 2. Deviate Brewery in Carmel: The specialty tour beer that has been crafted is the Bicentennial Beer Hop Supremacy, a pale ale made with Indiana-grown hops.
Stop 3. Grand Junction Brewing Company in Westfield: Residing in a building dated to the 1860s.
Stop 4. Heady Hollow Brewing Company in Fishers: Located in what was known by Fishers settlers in the 1850s as “Devils Land,” the beers are coined with historical namesakes.
Stop 5. Sun King Fishers Tap Room and Small Batch Brewery in Fishers: Sun King is the first full-scale production brewery which opened in 2009.
