It is going to be a gorgeous weekend and perfect time to Spring clean! Take part in Recycle Day at Billericay Park.
This Saturday, April 16th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m at the Billericay Park parking lot (northeast corner of 126th Street and Promise Road), you may bring items like old mowers, bikes, computer equipment and grills, old paint, broken technology items and paper waste to be recycled.
In the fall, approximately 1200 residents recycled 35 tons of materials! Wow.
Technology Recyclers will accept: Appliances, computers, gaming systems, printers and cartridges/toner, cell phones, batteries, stereos, power tools, wiring, televisions, lawn and workout equipment.
NuGenesis, Inc, will accept: Household hazardous waste (HHW) items such as paint (latex, lead, aluminum, and oil based), flammable liquids, liquid acids, liquid bases, toxic solids, motor oil, household batteries, propane tanks (gas grill size only), fire extinguishers, pesticides/herbicides, aerosols, corrosive liquids, non-conforming waste (unknowns), antifreeze, pool chemicals, fluorescent lamp and PCB ballasts, medical sharps. There are limits for flammable liquids and Pesticides/Herbicides. Note: up to one hundred (100) pounds or its’ liquid equivalent is free, but there will be a charge of $1.00 for each additional pound or its’ liquid equivalent.
Shares, Inc. will accept: Paper items, including confidential paper, bills, mail, office paper, printer paper, corrugated paper, and newspapers.
Please note: consumer waste, foam peanuts or containers, glass, grease, wood or mattresses are NOT being accepted at this event.
So, clean out your garage and storage areas and recycle this Saturday at Billericay!
