Lemons. Lemons are a staple summer fruit to have on hand to use in your water and your grilling. A cleaning hack with a lemon is to slice it in half and use it to brighten your stainless steel fixtures and faucets! Just use a microfiber towel to dry.

Bleach, Borax and Baking Soda. It’s a trifecta works wonders to clean the pool. Scrub the sides of the pool with this trio and save yourself from store bought pool cleaning chemicals.

Citrus-Based Furniture Polish. Tired of the hand prints on your stainless appliances? Apply a citrus-based furniture polish to your refrigerator and dishwasher to eliminate the messy hand prints. The slightly oily residue keeps future finger prints from leaving a mark.

Water. Yes, water. When you step out of the pool or lake for the day, rinse your bathing suits with water. By rinsing with water, it will rid your swim gear of the chlorine, salt water, lake water and oils from your skin to keep your bathing suits from fading and aging.

Cream of Tartar and Lemon Juice. This duo is a great way to clean your outdoor stainless steel grill. Combine the two and use an old toothbrush to clean the grill. Let the paste sit for about two minutes, then wipe away with a paper towel. You’ll have a shiny reflection waiting on you!

Vinegar. Summer break means lots of dishes. Periodically add a cup of vinegar on the top shelf of your dishwasher and run a wash cycle without dishes. The vinegar will help rinse away impurities, leaving you with an even cleaner and brighter dishwasher.

Hydrogen Peroxide and Baking Soda. Combine these two into a paste and apply to your tile grout for an at-home quick remedy to clean your grout.

Happy summer! Good luck with these at-home hacks.
