Indianapolis Home Show This Month!

It’s that time of year again to break out of the winter weather and enjoy all that is home design inspiration at the Indianapolis Home Show at the State Fairgrounds.

ihs_green_new.jpgThe Centerpiece Home by Fischer Homes will be the largest home ever built at the Indianapolis Home Show. The home design, The Rookwood, is a ranch home with nearly 6,000 sq. ft. of finished living space with walk-out basement.The Rookwood features a Coastal Acadian elevation with casual, yet sophisticated spaces to evoke the feelings of a beachfront home. The home includes a spacious kitchen opening into the adjoining living and dining rooms, a refined study, four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths and three built-in fireplaces. There is an elegant private owner’s sitting retreat along with a lower level ideal for entertaining.

A variety of celebrity and expert appearances will be made throughout the show. TV personalities Hilary Farr (HGTV) and Kevin O’Connor (This Old House), several DIY bloggers and professionals, gardeners and more will be featured. Click here for the list.

Some other highlights include:

Unplugged Houses is bringing the new lifestyle trending in the US…the tiny home. This company builds beautiful custom tiny homes on a trailer for freedom to travel using quality materials and traditional home construction techniques. Look for Unplugged Homes in the West Pavilion.

Brighton Developments, LLC returns with an “encore presentation” featuring Brighton Village which features uniquely styled garden sheds, pergolas, landscaping and water features.  This year’s village includes a camp scene. Enjoy a stroll along the scenic pathways through the village. Browse the pergola and garden sheds for treasures of locally handcrafted items for sale. You’ll find them in the South Pavilion near the stage.

Designer Room Showcase features local designers creating a unique look for different rooms throughout the home. Look for the Designer Room Showcase in the South Pavilion, right across from the Unilock Outdoor Living Stage.

Enjoy the Wine Garden with a setting of a Tuscan villa, featuring a rounded pergola and wrought iron fence with autumn inspiration. Cheryl Jacques and her team from Brower/Jacques Design has created an atmosphere where you can relax, dine and sip in style. PRP Wine International offers a global samples of wines.

Noblesville’s Green Vista Landscaping, Inc. will give outdoor landscaping design and installation, construction and maintenance services advice.

The Beer Corner in the South Pavilion will feature a variety of craft beers and domestics the entire ten-day Home Show. Courtesy of Unilock and built by Bedrock Hardscapes, the beer corner combines wood and iron for a rustic feel with greenery and water features, a bar and outdoor kitchen surrounded by patio lights.

The show runs Friday, January 20th through Sunday, January 29th. Below are the daily hours.

Sunday, January 29: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
