It’s back! It’s time to master your creative skills at the annual Arbor Day tradition of flocking the Nickel Plate District with flamingos.
This family-fun contest begins March 1st and wraps up on April 28th at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater Movies in the Park night. Stop by the Fishers Parks & Recreation office (11565 Brooks School Road) to buy your flamingo to decorate with your friends and family. The flamingos are just $3!
The flamingos are due back to the Nickel Plate District AMP on Friday, April 28th between 6:00 and 6:30 p.m. There will be five categories awarded winners, each giving a $100 Wasson Nursery gift certificate toward a tree purchase.
New to the Flock the NPD event this year is a flamingo auction, run by Burgess Auction and Appraisals, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. And, all auction proceeds will be used to plant trees at Fishers parks in honor of Arbor Day!
Plan to make it an entire evening at the NPD AMP for the Fishers Movies at sunset. That night, Huntsman: Winter’s War will be shown on the big screen.
Be sure to come by the Parks & Recreation office by April 27, or while supplies last, to get your flamingo.
